inserisco un breve intervento di maurizio pistone in merito al dialetto nella storia:
Lingua e dialetto nella storia
Tra lingua e dialetto non vi è una differenza di tipo linguistico, ma di status; o per lo meno così è all'inizio. La lingua ha un carattere di
ufficialità che invece viene negato al dialetto; e questo nasce da cause puramente storiche e sociali.
Infatti una medesima forma di espressione può essere, a seconda delle epoche e delle zone, classificata come lingua o come dialetto.
Il portoghese è la lingua ufficiale del Portogallo; ma in Galizia, il gallego, che è la stessa cosa, è (o era fino a poco fa) un dialetto locale.
Emblematico il caso dell'occitano: dal XII secolo agli inizi del XIV fu una delle principali lingue di cultura d'Europa, tanto da essere correntemente
usato anche al di fuori della sua zona d'origine, dalla Catalogna al nord Italia. Improvvisamente, per vari motivi storici, fu relegato a forma di
espressione locale, popolare. Nell'800 si tentò di farlo rivivere come lingua letteraria, tentativo che dura tuttora, ma che non è riuscito a frenare
la sua decadenza.
Qualcosa del genere è capitato in Italia con il siciliano.
Però questa differenza di status ha a sua volta un pesante riflesso di tipo linguistico.
Le lingue ufficiali, proprio in quanto tali, assumono una ricchezza lessicale e una formalizzazione grammaticale che invece i dialetti gradatamente
perdono. È vero che all'inizio il toscano non aveva particolari caratteristiche che lo rendessero preferibile al siciliano, all'umbro, al lombardo, al
veneto (solo per indicare parlate che, intorno al 1250-1300, ebbero importanti manifestazioni letterarie); ma ormai la trasformazione è irreversibile.
Io non saprei tradurre la Divina Commedia o la Critica della ragion pratica in piemontese; forse Tòni Bodrìe ci riuscirebbe, ma risulterebbe
incomprensibile alla stragrande maggioranza degli stessi piemontesi. (Tòni Bodrìe è uno dei più grandi poeti del '900; purtroppo è l'unico in grado di
capire le sue stesse poesie e di tradurle in italiano).
La standardizzazione della lingua ufficiale la rende più o meno uniforme su un'area geografica molto vasta; invece, uno dei caratteri più affascinanti
(e più scomodi per l'uso pratico) dei dialetti è l'estrema varietà locale. Già Dante rilevava che nella città di Bologna si parlavano sei dialetti
diversi, a seconda dei diversi borghi della città. La stessa situazione si verifica ancora adesso là dove il dialetto è vivo e vitale; vi sono paesini
di montagna di poche centinaia di abitanti in cui la pronuncia permette di distinguere immediatamente quelli che vengono dalle borgate alte da quelli
che vengono dal capoluogo. Certo, se si decidesse che il piemontese è la lingua ufficiale del Piemonte (cosa del tutto improbabile), occorrerebbe
stabilire quale piemontese: se si scegliesse quello della tradizione letteraria scritta (ne abbiamo una, piccolina, anche noi) sicuramente
nascerebbero movimenti autonomisti nelle Langhe, nel Canavese, nel Monferrato a rivendicare la nobiltà e la venustà della loro favella (per non
parlare delle zone occitane, walser e franco-provenzali).

Il problema della distinzione tra lingua e dialetto è molto complesso e difficile da sintetizzare, una questione portata avanti da anni che può
essere affrontata e analizzata da vari punti di vista, primi fra tutti quello linguistico e quello sociologico-giuridico.
In termini puramente linguistici non esiste una differenza tra questi due concetti: la lingua e il dialetto sono entrambi dotati per loro natura di un
sistema fonologico, di una grammatica, di un lessico.
Il termine dialetto può indicare, in particolare, due realtà differenti:
1. un sistema linguistico autonomo con caratteristiche strutturali e una storia distanti rispetto a quelli della lingua nazionale;
2. una varietà parlata della lingua nazionale, cioè una varietà dello stesso sistema linguistico (ad esempio i dialects dell'anglo-americano sono
varietà dell'inglese parlate negli Stati Uniti con gli stessi caratteri strutturali e la stessa storia della lingua nazionale).
Con l'espressione lingua nazionale si intende, invece, il sistema linguistico adottato da una comunità costituente una nazione, come contrassegno del
proprio carattere etnico e come strumento comunicativo riconosciuto dall'amministrazione nella scuola, negli usi ufficiali e scritti.
Le ragioni, dunque, per cui un sistema comunicativo viene definito lingua o dialetto sono esclusivamente di natura extralinguistica (fattori politici,
letterari, economici, sociali, culturali, di prestigio, di autocoscienza…), una differenza di ordine funzionale, di status, che ha origine nelle
vicende storiche di una data comunità.
La lingua, infatti, gode di uno status socioculturale e politico garantito da un ordinamento giuridico, possiede una codificazione riconosciuta e
condivisa, conta su una tradizione letteraria storicamente consolidata e affidata a istituzioni di tutti i livelli, presenta un'originalità
grammaticale ed una particolare genesi storica, viene adottata come mezzo normale di comunicazione in ogni settore di attività.
Il dialetto, al contrario, è solitamente impiegato in un'area molto circoscritta (villaggio, città, sub-regione) in ambiti limitati e prevalentemente
nella varietà orale.
Le motivazioni che portano lingua e dialetto ad un diverso grado di prestigio sociale possono avere origini differenti.
In Italia, ad esempio, è stata decisiva una ‘supremazia letteraria’ che ha elevato una varietà dialettale dotata di particolare prestigio, come il
fiorentino trecentesco di Dante, Boccaccio e Petrarca (modello di imitazione per letterati e intellettuali anche al di fuori della Toscana) al rango
di lingua, sebbene per una diffusione davvero popolare dell'italiano si debba attendere il ’900 inoltrato.
In altri paesi, invece, sono stati determinanti i fattori politici: in Francia e in Spagna, ad esempio, è stato il potere monarchico ad imporre e
diffondere la varietà linguistica impiegata a corte (il franciano, dialetto dell'Île-de-France, in Francia e il castigliano in Spagna). "

DIGITAL DIVIDE: ci pensa MEDIASET
Che cosa è internet? Una terra di nessuno dove riappropriarci di libertà negate in altri luoghi? La patria della libertà d’informazione?
D’espressione?
Qualunque cosa abbia rappresentato negli ultimi dieci anni, non durerà.
Tra le altre tecnologie, è ora di scena il WiMax. Attraverso una rete capillare di antenne dovrebbe portare la banda larga in ogni angolo del Paese.
Sono 179 le offerte giunte al ministero delle comunicazioni per le concessioni locali e nazionali. A chi interessa mettere le mani sugli internauti di
casa nostra?
Tra gli altri, Telecom e Mediaset (Elettronica Industriale spa) lanciano offerte per aggiudicarsi la copertura nazionale. Gentiloni, nell’aprire le
buste contenenti le offerte, si dice ottimista e lancia una sfida: entro il 2011 sconfiggeremo il digital divide. Sarebbe ora, visti i richiami
dell’Unione Europea. Che figura barbina!
Ma sul possibile allargamento del conflitto d’interessi nemmeno una parola? Mediaset sa che la tv gratuita è destinata a ridimensionarsi, quindi
diversifica. Prego, accomodatevi.
Per l’Italia il 2007 è stato l’anno in cui, anche nella fascia serale, i naviganti hanno superato i telespettatori. Insomma, il piatto si fa ricco.
Milioni di internauti liberi di passare da un blog all’altro vanno educati, imboccati, sedotti, resi innocui.
La Rete non è, non ancora, non nel nostro Paese, un media di massa. Quando lo diventerà ce ne accorgeremo. Noi della prima ora, forse, riusciremo a
ritagliarci piccoli spazi dove tenere in vita l’illusione di una qualche libertà. I neofiti no. Il bombardamento cerebrale sarà impietoso,
l’informazione di qualità sarà relegata nei meandri di qualche motore di ricerca, se ancora indicizzata.
Inoltre, sapere di chattare, mandare mail, fare acquisti o informarmi attraverso le antenne di Mediaset o Telecom non mi fa stare tranquillo. Tavaroli
e Pompa vi fanno venire in mente qualcosa?
Uno Stato che ha a cuore la diffusione della conoscenza, l’emancipazione culturale dei suoi cittadini, avrebbe dovuto investire per rendere pubblico
questo servizio, prevedendo magari una tassa annuale. Troppa grazia. Ora che la Rete diventa un business lasciamo che dal digital divide ci salvi
Silvio, magari ricordandoci di votare per lui.

prodotti televisivi: "Il matrimonio tra televisione e computer è ormai consolidato", dice Claude
London della Bbc, "l'integrazione tra l'una e l'altro procede senza grandi scossoni. Anzi,
l'allargamento dell'offerta è per noi una necessità, arrivare al nostr pubblico in tutti i modi
possibili, compreso Internet e i cellulari, è un obbiettivo imprescindibile".
Hanno le idee più chiare che in passato gli operatori dei grandi network televisivi, ed infatti nei
corridoi del Palais du Festival di Cannes, in Francia, la "confusione" tra televisivi, telefonici e
internettari è completa. Tutti "fanno e distribuiscono televisione", non importa attraverso quale
canale.
Anzi, più la strategia delle aziende produttrici è "multipiattaforma" e più hanno successo, come
dimostra il caso della Disney, che oggi veicola i suoi contenuti in un universo multimediale
completo riscuotendo un successo planetario. Internet non è più un oggetto sconosciuto,
insomma, e nemmeno un semplice veicolo per replicare la tv che c'è già.

Orange, uno dei principali operatori telefonici europei, ha annunciato il lancio di sei
canali televisivi via Internet, un offerta che secondo i responsabili "rivoluzionerà l'universo della
televisione. Noi applichiamo ai contenuti televisivi quello che è già accaduto con successo nel
campo della musica, un consumo nomade, individualizzato e desicronizzato". Tradotto in parole
povere "la televisione dove la voglio io, quando la voglio io, come la voglio io", la morte ufficiale
del palinsesto come fino ad oggi lo abbiamo conosciuto.
"Cambiare punto di vista e prospettiva può essere molto positivo per il mondo della televisione",
suggerisce Henrique De Castro, di YouTube, "la sfida posta da Internet e da siti come il nostro
non può essere rifiutata". Ed infatti i grandi produttori televisivi cercano di mettersi in sintonia con
la visione frammentaria in stile YouTube. L'annuncio della Cbs è in questo senso illuminante: tra
qualche settimana saranno disponibili on line i programmi che la Cbs ha realizzato per Internet
attraverslo la sua divisione Eyelab. Programmi che durano pochi minuti ma che concentrano tutti
i principali generi televisivi, dai quiz all'intrattenimento, dall'informazione alla comicità. E non
mancano, ovviamente, i telefilm, ridotti magari in clip di culto, come un dialogo tra Jennifer Love-
Hewitt e un morto in "Ghost Wisperer", o il gesto ormai classico di David Caruso che si toglie gli
occhiali in "Csi: Miami". "Lo scopo è creare contenuti che non possono essere visti altrove", dice
Ron Scalera, vicepresidente della Cbs, "contenuti di alta qualità pensati per Internet. Il potenziale
è enorme". Secondo le ricerche fatte dalla Cbs il pubblico di Internet resta collegato su YouTube
anche due ore consecutive, ma ama la varietà e la ricchezza dei contenuti, preferisce vedere
molte clip di due minuti che seguire una intera puntata di un telefilm. "Per quello c'è la
televisione, che funziona ancora ottimamente".

formale, secondo me non so se migliore ma più estesa di operazioni come le risonorizzazioni da parte di per es. Micheal Nyman...perchè non chiamano
