un atlante ludico-partecipativo per un gioco interattivo
glocalmap.to è il progetto di una mappa attiva dell’area metropolitana torinese (un vasto territorio compreso fra il traforo del Frejus, la campagna
collinare e la barriera di Rondissone dell’autostrada Torino – Milano) sulla quale prendono forma le informazioni raccolte in un gioco di creatività
connettiva disseminato nella città. Dall’azione locale nel territorio alla comunicazione globale nelle reti.
glocalmap.to è un gioco interattivo su piattaforma web e mobile (Moblog: il blog mobile prodotto via MMS) che coinvolgerà Torino nei 42 giorni, tra
febbraio e marzo 2006, durante le Olimpiadi della Cultura.
I percorsi nella città utilizzeranno diverse soluzioni tecnologiche creando le condizione sia per lo sviluppo di particolari narrazioni (fiction
interattive) che per la partecipazione libera dei cittadini ( e turisti) player di una mappa da tracciare in prima persona.
Il gioco si pone da un lato l’obiettivo di declinare le tecnologie interattive al servizio della composizione di un atlante ludico-partecipativo della
città, ma anche costruire come in un mosaico una nuova mappa di Torino capace di svelare le nuove geografie, tracciare e nominare i luoghi senza nome,
proteggere e offrire cittadinanza alle pulsioni urbane spontanee.
glocalmap.to è una piattaforma software e hardware, in grado di ricevere e archiviare sms, mms e e-mail.
Un servizio che permetterà di conservare e organizzare per contenuto e nello spazio, testi, foto e altri materiali che gli utenti vorranno inviare e
condividere.
Una mappa online della città in divenire, illustrata e interattiva, che visualizzerà su diversi livelli sovrapponibili, informazioni cartografiche
ufficiali e contenuti forniti dai partecipanti-autori.
Uno strumento facilmente replicabile e tematizzabile per registrare e pubblicare geo-annotazioni provenienti anche da dispositivi mobili.
glocalmap.to è un’esperienza di urbanistica immateriale che intende trasporre il principio della geografia umana, quella tracciata dalle persone che
usano un territorio, in una forma narrata ed iconica.
Un’escursione ludica di azioni e informazioni dalla quale trarre il senso di percorsi da attuare all’interno della città, invitando i cittadini e i
turisti a contribuire attraverso le piattaforme interattive (web e mobile) con i loro contributi personali e collettivi di cittadini-player.
glocalmap.to è una “instant city” contemporanea. E’ il luogo dello sguardo della “città intermedia”, quella situata tra la pieghe dell’ordinamento
sociale costituito, nel tentativo di dare forma sociale alle informazioni prodotte dall’azione vitale dei giovani cittadini-player, offrendo gli
strumenti per la costituzione di inedite comunanze urbane.
Un’indicazione importante per una nuova generazione che rischia di entrare nella società dell’informazione solo attraverso una serie di automatismi
che rischiano di viziare il concetto d’interattività.
Questi automatismi tendono a saturare i rapporti con i media e con gli schermi in genere (come per i videogame) velocizzando il rapporto tra sguardo e
interpretazione, comprimendo la capacità d’attenzione.Tant’è che si parla di sindrome da deficit d’attenzione (ADHD: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder) che può essere affrontato offrendo ai giovani la possibilità di concepire l’interattività come occasione di partecipazione attiva e di
produzione d’informazione basata sull’esperienza diretta, ludica e creativa.
