, I think that is a product of the new TaylorMade R1 Driver, which creates more of a hammer effect and less of a spring effect at contact. On the whole, this is a super club--very long,
very forgiving, and most of all very straight, which is important for me since I tend to fight a hook. I have the stock Aldila 65 gram shaft in stiff
flex, which works great for me with the 10.5 loft. This cheap golf clubs
hits the ball on a higher trajectory than other drivers I have used, but the launch angle seems perfect to me, and I get huge bounces in the fairway.
